The diagnostic performance of cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging in suspected myocarditis is still limited. Recently, CMR T1 and T2 mapping has been suggested to yield excellent diagnostic accuracies in patients with suspected myocarditis as compared to healthy controls.
