Many studies deal with the topic of children’s physical activity, its measuring, and analysis; furthermore, these studies discuss the consequences of less physical fitness for the individual and society. Countries initiate research about physical activity, and institutions in various countries realize surveys, projects, and one-off and research studies. Obesity and overweight, as two results caused by a deficiency in physical activity, are two “problems” in industrialized countries. Over the last few years, the fact that children and adolescents have become fatter and less fit was shown in numbers of studies. Various countries have similar trends and changes in pediatric fitness, while other countries vary from the first. The initial point of the recent book is a description of pediatric fitness. …
