Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBDs) are chronically relapsing inflammatory disorders of the intestine. Although some therapeutic agents, including steroids, are available for treatment of IBD, these agents have limited use. Therefore, dietary supplements have emerged as possible interventions for IBD.
