Traumatic dislocation of hip is an uncommon event in childhood and usually results from low-energy trauma in younger children and from high-energy trauma in older children [1]. Most of the cases are posterior dislocations, which occur 5–10 times more frequently than anterior dislocations [1]. Open dislocation is very rare and usually has a poor prognosis.
