Oesophageal cancer: can imaging improve its assessment?

Oesophageal cancer is the sixth most common cause of cancer death worldwide. Its incidence in 2002 was 462,117, with a male/female ratio of approximately 2:1. Occurrence of this disease increases with age and is highest in the age group 50–70 years. …
