Magnetic resonance (MR) imaging provides superb bone and soft tissue details and plays a central role in the assessment and management of a wide variety of pediatric musculoskeletal disorders. Presently, intermediate (1 to 1.5 T) field strength magnets are the predominant MR scanners in clinical practice.
