A 70-year-old male patient presented acute onset unilateral scrotal swelling and tenderness. The patient received a presumptive diagnosis of epididymo-orchitis and treatment with ciprofloxacin and supportive care was initiated by his treating urologist. Nevertheless, the symptoms did not subside and color Doppler ultrasonography was conducted: a solid hyperechoic lesion (7 cm × 5 cm) with increased vascularity was documented in the left testicle along with a mild enlargement and increased vascularity of the adjacent epididymis. …
