Mixed connective tissue disease presenting as trigeminal neuropathy

Mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD) is a rare CTD which shares features of main CTD (erythematosus lupus, systemic sclerosis and polymyositis) and is biologically characterized by high titer of anti-ribonuclear protein (RNP) antibodies [1]. This syndrome may present different neurological manifestations like comitiality, psychotic syndrome and neuropathy. In very rare cases, a trigeminal sensory neuropathy has been described [2, 3]. …
