Recently, a Pancreatic Symposium was held at the AHPBA and SAGES joint meeting in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, April 2005. The symposium focused on minimally invasive techniques to evaluate and treat pancreatic diseases. The presentations were based on new and emerging technology available for pancreatic diseases including solid and cystic lesions as well as infected pancreatic fluid collections. Several investigators from this panel contributed summaries of their presentations for this review. …
