Abstract

The management of sinister cutaneous lesions including malignant melanoma in the clinically frail patient tends to present clinicians with a professional and ethical dilemma on the optimal but yet least invasive management option. We present a case of an 80-year-old female with numerous co-morbidities, presenting with metastatic melanoma, in which electrochemotherapy (ECT) was successfully used to manage her debilitating symptoms of intractable bleeding.
Level of evidence: Level V, therapeutic study.
