Groupo Otologico is the working name for the Otology group led by Mario Sanna’s Team. Each of their contributions has contributed to the bank of otologic knowledge enriching technique, skills and experience. The second edition of the monograph Middle Ear and Mastoid Microsurgery (Thieme, Stuttgart, New York, 2012, 601p) is a textbook, guideline, manual, and road map of how to start, proceed and develop skills as a good otologic surgeon. Excellent illustrations and drawings with demonstration of techniques show otologic surgery as a symphony. To listen to a symphony is a beautiful experience but the gift to compose that symphony is given to only a few. …
