Various criteria have already been established for the diagnosis of malnutrition. The prevalence of malnutrition determined by different criteria and its predictive value vary widely. Therefore, in 2019, the Global Leadership Initiative on Malnutrition (GLIM) proposed a consensus-based framework for standardizing the diagnosis of malnutrition worldwide. 1
