We read with great interest the report by Berndsen et al. [1] on late discomfort after inguinal hernia repair. The multicentre study showed no differences between laparoscopic TAPP and Shouldice repair with regard to degree of discomfort after 5 years (8.5 vs 11.4, respectively). …
