An 84-yr-old woman with a history of obesity and hypertension presented to the Emergency Department with sudden onset of left-sided facial droop, hemiparesis, and dysarthria. After a computed tomography scan showed occlusion of the right cerebral artery, she was administered intravenous thrombolysis with a tissue plasminogen activator.
