Abstract

Angiomyolipomas are benign lesions which predominantly occurs in the kidney but sometimes rarely seen in the liver and other organs like adrenals. Microscopically, the mass is composed of blood vessels, smooth muscle and fat cells arising from perivascular epithelioid cells. The lesions can attain enormous size although rare when embolisation has a role prior to surgical excision.
