Femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) qualifies as a hot topic, in both senses of the word: Much discussed and very controversial. The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons [2] defines FAI as “a condition where the bones of the hip are abnormally shaped. Because they do not fit together perfectly, the hip bones rub against each other and cause damage to the joint.” …
