We present the case of an elderly Caucasian woman with asymmetric lipomatosis of the thigh. Lipomatosis is an exaggerated and widespread growth of mature adipose tissue, infiltrating the surrounding tissues (e.g., muscle). Numerous forms of lipomatosis have been identified: the symmetrical form is the most frequent. There are few cases of asymmetric lipomatosis occurring in adulthood reported in the literature.
