Professor Galea is likely the father of bariatric surgery in Romania, where he lived and practiced for most of his career. I had the pleasure of knowing him from our attendance at the yearly IFSO Annual World Congresses. He was able to send me this autobiography just prior to his passing after a battle with cancer.
