It is with great sadness that we have learned of the death of our colleague and instrumental member of the Journal’s Editorial Board, Professor Olabisi Adebayo Odejide, of the Department of Psychiatry, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He was aged 68 years. At various times, he served as Dean of the Faculty of Clinical Sciences and Dentistry, as well as the Head of Psychiatry. He was the foundation Director of the Counselling Section of the Nigerian National Drug Law Enforcement Agency. He was the Chairman of the National Committee that articulated Nigeria's Mental Health Policy. He served as the Editor-in-Chief of the West African Medical Journal. He championed the cause of addiction problems nationally and internationally, through his research, advocacy and work with the World Health Organization. He has established the leading non-governmental organization in drug abuse in Africa, the Alcohol and Drugs Training and Information Center. …
