Videolaryngoscopes (VLs) have become more available in recent years and this fact had a huge impact on the modern-day advanced airway management. Videolaryngoscopes have gained popularity as devices that enabled the operator to visualise the entry to the larynx in a potentially difficult airway situation e.g. in super obese patients [
1]. Furthermore videolaryngoscopes can reduce peri-intubation complications as less force is required to visualise the glottis. As a result of this, the use of VLs is associated with fewer intubation attempts and thus shorter time required to intubate the patient [

3]. Videolaryngoscopes use modern video camera technology which varies between different devices. This can result in a different image clarity and quality of the glottic view [
