This is the second edition of a comprehensive textbook on colon, rectal, and anal neoplasms. It is a clinical text, written from the surgeon's perspective. The first edition was published eight years earlier, and the authors' stated purpose in updating it was twofold: to update the literature, and to share their own opinions and preferences. New features include: updated epidemiologic, adjuvant treatment, and genetic data; inclusion of new colorectal cancer screening modalities, such as virtual colonoscopy; and a new chapter on laparoscopic colorectal surgery. There are 183 figures, 49 tables, and 2,523 references. …
