In March this year, the Americas Hernia Society held our annual meeting. Brent Matthews, Program Chair and current President, put on a fantastic program. Working with the assistance of Mike Rosen, they had sessions presenting the best in evidenced-based hernia literature, stimulating case presentations, innovative hernia clinical collaborations and a touch of the future, demonstrating an app to predict complications after hernia repair (Fig. 1).
