With some astonishment we have read Walter Stummer’s [13] recent letter to the editor in which he plainly accuses the users of fluorescein sodium (FL) of thoughtlessness and insinuates unscientific use of this dye. We also feel the discussion on the fluorescence technique for tumor resection stimulating and interesting; however, we believe that opinions should be disentangled from facts and the discussion of this topic should be brought back onto the scientific track. …
