This case report and literature review [1] describes a disease process and presenting symptoms that are unusual, but by no means unique. However, the further confounding parameters give this case a complexity that immediately draws the reader into the scenario and presents the patient as well as her treating clinicians with a situation that requires some very urgent and difficult decisions to be made. …
