A 2-year-old girl was referred to our unit for recurrent urinary tract infections. She had intermittent low-grade fever, anorexia, abdominal pain, fatigue, malaise, weight loss, and night sweating of 2-month-duration. Although several courses of antibiotics (cepixime, trimetoprim-sulphometaxazole, nitrofurantoin) were prescribed for urinary tract infections, pyuria persisted.
