A 12-year-old Romany girl was born to unrelated parents after an uncomplicated pregnancy by a normal vaginal delivery. Psychomotor development was without any abnormalities. At the age of 3 years she was admitted to the hospital for bronchopneumonia; at the age of 7 years, she underwent an adenoidectomy. At the age of 11 years, she was treated for a urinary tract infection. Her father was healthy; however, her great aunt, on her father’s side, had died of chronic renal insufficiency.
