The prevalence of obesity in the United States continues to increase among both males and females in all age groups [6]. Obesity is an important risk factor for various chronic diseases and an important public health issue [5, 6]. It also is a predisposing factor for cholelithiasis and cholecystitis [1, 2]. Extensive work has been done in the past to find the ideal way of managing gallbladder diseases in obese patients. …
