Fewer adhesions after laparoscopic surgery?

In their review articles, Gutt et al. [2] and Sauerland and Neugebauer [4], commenting on fewer adhesions after laparoscopic than open surgery, stated that laparoscopic surgery plays some role in preventing postoperative adhesions, but that long-term studies are still needed for many procedures. I wish to comment on this. …
