The Dysphagia Research Society (DRS) held its 25th annual meeting during March 2–4, 2017 at the Hilton Portland in Portland, Oregon. The recorded meeting attendance for the annual meeting was the largest in the 25-year history of DRS with 486 scientists and clinicians from over 20 countries attending. To promote awareness of dysphagia and the importance of research, the Mayor of Portland, Ted Wheeler, proclaimed “Swallowing Disorders Awareness Week” during the week of the meeting. …
