Korterink et al. [1] brought to the attention of pseudothrombocytopenia in a newborn whose mother also had had this diagnosis. I would like to add peripheral smear examination to the authors’ studies which would be most helpful for this diagnosis. In addition, it would give us information on the morphology of the platelets which is as important as its counts [3]. I would like to reemphasize that peripheral smear (PS) should not be neglected despite of technical developments. …
