Lothar Amadeus von Frankl-Hochwart (Fig. 1) was born on 12 June 1862 in Vienna [3], the third son of the Jewish-Bohemian physician, writer and poet Ludwig August Frankl (1810–1894) and Paula Frankl (née Wiener, 1831–1895). The order ‘Ritter von Hochwart’ was conferred on the family by Emperor Franz Joseph in 1876 [10]. …
