Immunoglobulin (Ig) light chain deposition disease (LCDD), a rare protein misfolding disorder characterized by non-amyloid Ig light chain deposition, is part of the spectrum of monoclonal Ig deposition disease (MIDD) secondary to a clonal plasma cell proliferation, together with Ig heavy chain deposition disease (HCDD) and Ig light chain (AL) and heavy chain (AH) amyloidosis.
