Cerebellar mutism is a well-known complication of posterior fossa surgery. However, the cause of this syndrome and its exact mechanisms are still unknown. According to the literature, some have reported findings of single photon emission tomography (SPECT) in patients with cerebellar mutism [13]; however, these findings in individual cases are not conclusive enough to explain the mechanism of mutism. …
