Thank you for the opportunity to reply to the letter By Dr Herney Garcia-Perdoma and colleague on our manuscript [1]. We are delighted that Dr Garcia-Perdoma found time to read our manuscript as an expert on systematic reviews and meta-analysis his views are valued. Included in his publications is an excellent article in the Colombia Medica [2] (which he is an associate editor), in which he makes similar points as he has done now and also made recently in a similar letter to the World Journal of Surgery [3]. …
