The upper row shows the 18F-FDG PET/CT scan in a patient with an oral cavity tumour (a arrow), staged cT4a cN2c cM0, with a positive lymph node in region IIA on the right (asterisk). The lower row shows the follow-up PET/CT scan 3 months after treatment with primary radiochemotherapy. A focal hot spot is visible at the midline of the floor of the mouth (arrowhead). Sonography was performed and suggested the presence of scar tissue. …
