We thank Dr. Costa [2] for his commentary on our contribution [1]. We totally agree with the fact that the mechanism of the no-reflow phenomenon has a complex pathophysiology, as we explained in the discussion, but we believe that our findings could contribute to the alteration of blood flow observed after reperfusion, especially because the exposed endothelium can promote thrombus formation. …
