The authors of this study compared the uterus-sparing Manchester-Fothergill procedure (MP) with vaginal hysterectomy (VH) with native tissue repair for the management of apical/uterine prolapse. They synthesized data from four Danish national databases to obtain a comprehensive set of information including demographics and patient characteristics, preoperative short-form questionnaire and preoperative Pelvic Organ Prolapse Quantification (POP-Q) results, surgeon experience, and complications. The study was performed as a historical cohort matched according to age and preoperative POP-Q stage. …
