Bei fortgeschrittenen Oropharynx- und Hypopharynxkarzinomen ist die definitive simultane Radiochemotherapie mit Cisplatin eine mindestens gleichwertige organerhaltende Alternative zur operativen Versorgung [1, 2]. Eine der häufigsten Nebenwirkungen ist eine Dysphagie, die zu Unterernährung und sogar aspirationsbedingten Todesfällen (bis zu 20 % der nichttumorassoziierten Todesfälle) führen kann [3]. In der Dysphagia/Aspiration-at-risk-structures(DARS)-Studie sollte geprüft werden, ob eine gezielte Schonung der Mm. constrictores pharyngis zu verbesserter langfristiger Schluckfunktion bei gleichbleibenden onkologischen Endpunkten führen wird [4]. …
