Die Entwicklungen sowie die Verfügbarkeit von Untersuchungen im Bereich der molekularen Bildgebung eröffnen nicht nur in der Diagnostik, sondern auch in der Therapie von onkologischen Erkrankungen neue Möglichkeiten. Ziel der PET-Plan-Studie von Nestle et al. [1] war es, erstmals zu prüfen, ob eine Reduktion des Zielvolumens (ZV) mit Unterstützung einer 18F‑Fluor-Deoxyglukose(18F‑FDG)-PET-Bildgebung machbar und zuverlässig ist im Vergleich mit einer konventionell geplanten Radiochemotherapie (RCT) des fortgeschrittenen nichtkleinzelligen Bronchialkarzinoms (NSCLC) inklusive einer elektiven Lymphknotenbestrahlung. …
