HPV-assoziierte oropharyngeale Karzinome gelten mittlerweile als eine eigenständige onkologische Entität mit besserer Prognose als die durch Tabak oder Alkohol bedingten Karzinome dieser Region. In der vorliegenden Phase-II-Studie prüfte eine amerikanische Studiengruppe prospektiv, ob die wiederholt beschriebene höhere Sensibilität auf Radiochemotherapie (RCT) dieser Entität eventuell eine Reduktion der Strahlen- bzw. Cisplatin-Dosis im Sinne einer Deeskalation der RCT rechtfertigt. …
