Seasonal fluctuation in rates of breast cancer diagnosis is a well-known phenomenon, which has been reported—but not completely understood—in other tumors as well: rates are lower in summer than in any other season [14]. So far, the association between seasons and diagnosis of breast cancer has not been questioned on Turkish patients.
