Chronic granulomatous disease (CGD) is a rare disorder of immune deficiency, which is portrayed by recurrent bacterial and fungal infections [1‐3]. It is a known inherited disorder of the body’s immune system, which is intrinsically caused by a particular genetic defect that encodes a particular enzyme complex. This inability of the phagocytic cells to eliminate the catalase-positive organisms causes recurring infections, relentless inflammation, and often granuloma formation [2‐4]. In CGD, this X-linked defect is a common form of the disease; hence, it is more commonly seen in boys and men [4, 5]. Typically, it manifests as recurrent bacterial and even recurrent fungal infections and eventually results in abscesses, inflammation of the lymph nodes and granuloma formation, with majority of the children presenting within the first 2 y of life. …
