Erroneous antimicrobial allergy reporting is a common occurrence in healthcare worldwide. Around 10% of patients report penicillin allergy; however, only 1–10% of these represent true allergy [1, 2]. Given that such a small percentage of these reports are correct, we feel there should be a systematic approach to de-labelling patients with non-IgE-mediated penicillin allergy [2]. …
