Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) is considered by most the ideal bariatric procedure because of its simple and straightforward surgical technique that does not include any digestive anastomosis or intestinal bypass. LSG is also considered as a physiologic procedure because the continuity of the digestive tract is respected.
