Restoration of shoulder abduction following injury to the brachial plexus is sometimes difficult to achieve in obstetrical brachial plexus palsy and traumatic brachial plexus palsy. Nerve transfers are a recognized treatment option for patients with traumatic brachial plexus injuries [
