Donald J. Cohen, M.D. (1940–2001) was the former director of the Yale Child Study Centre at Yale University, New Haven (USA) and former president (1992–1998) of the International Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions (IACAPAP). He is renowned for his work on Tourette’s syndrome and autism and for his role as a passionate supporter of young researchers [3]. The Donald J. Cohen (DJC) Travel Fellowship aims to foster worldwide the professional development of ‘emerging leaders’ in child and adolescent mental health. …
