This is the tenth volume in the series “Analysis of hazardous substances in biological materials”, now integrated into the new series: “The MAK-collection for occupational health and safety”, a series that includes volumes on Biomonitoring Methods as well as volumes on MAK Documentations, BAT Value Documentations, and Air Monitoring Methods. This volume continues the tradition of this excellent English translation of this series of ten volumes beginning in 1985, covering 175 analytical procedures for more than 200 substances in blood and urine. Although these methods have been developed by German scientists, they are used throughout the world in well-equipped quality laboratories. One of the advantages of these methods in general is the degree of detail to include many specific directions on standard preparation and quality assurance procedures. These are robust methods suitable for use in any appropriately equipped laboratory. …
