Abstract

Introduction

Bilateral femoral fracture due to birth trauma which is extremely rare, can occur during cesarean section.

Material and methods

This case represents a newborn delivered by cesarean section for breech presentation who sustained bilateral subtrochanteric fracture of the femur.

Result

The newborn was treated with immobilization in pelvipedal cast.

Conclusion

It has been concluded that performing accurate delivery technique and immediate evaluation–orthopedic consultation of the newborn in the presence of forced obstetrical maneuver are important.
