Prophylaxis against thromboembolism in spinal surgery

Abstract

Thromboprophylaxis in spinal surgery is a controversial topic. In the current environment of risk management, it seems reasonable to review and critically appraise the risks and benefits of different prophylaxis methods in spinal surgery.
