Anal cancer is less common than its close neighbour rectal cancer, but the incidence is rising [1]. Initial staging MRI may be performed at peripheral centres, before being referred to more specialised centres for multidisciplinary team (MDT) discussion, treatment, and follow-up. So it is important radiologists are familiar with the appearances and how MRI is used in staging and restaging. …
